Wine Tasting

Delta sits in the West Elks American Viticultural Area, home to some of the highest elevation vineyards in North America. The thin air and low humidity at over 6000 feet create ideal conditions for cool climate varietals, and you can string together a proper wine tour through Delta, Paonia, Hotchkiss, and Cedaredge without backtracking. The valley produces Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay that hold their acidity through the ripening process, and most tasting rooms operate from Memorial Day through November.
