Mountain Biking

Delta County is emerging as one of Colorado’s premier mountain biking destinations, though it still flies under the radar compared to Front Range trail systems. The terrain ranges from beginner friendly riverside singletrack to epic high desert routes to alpine forest trails on the Grand Mesa. Peach Valley offers over 15 square miles of BLM managed desert terrain with singletrack and ATV trails, and the area stays rideable when higher elevations are snowed in. Sidewinder Trail delivers 20 plus miles of relentlessly technical, rocky desert singletrack that tests both bike handling and endurance with square blocky rocks, slickrock sections, and ledges throughout.

Trail Systems:

– Peach Valley: over 15 square miles of Bureau of Land Management desert terrain perfect for winter or shoulder season riding. Colorado Tourism Profile

– Sidewinder Trail: 20 plus miles of highly technical, rocky desert singletrack built for advanced bike handling. Singletracks Review
